NEW YORK, June 7, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — san francisco-based jewelry brand Cast is excited to welcome neighboring Bay Area designers Lauren Harwell Godfrey as her newest guest designer to create an exclusive collection for Cast to add to her growing roster of all-female collaborators. Godfrey’s collection, titled Spellbound, celebrates coolness and serenity California styled with natural turquoise in hexagonal stacks, 14K Gold, diamonds and blue zircon.
The launch of the collection supports Cast’s mission to bring more discovery, wonder and joy to the fine jewelry shopping experience. Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer Rachel Skely works with a variety of designers to create and curate exclusive collections. Each artful piece is unique, but each can be layered together for layered and unexpected looks. With its unique partnership approach, Skelly has assembled a remarkable global roster of some of the most innovative designers in jewelry, including Alice Ciccolini, Francesca Villa, Kristy Ford, Stacy Nolan and now Lauren Harwell Godfrey.
“Working with Cast was a collaborative experience that required trust and a lot of care. Rachel loves innovative, eye-catching jewelry and I knew my designs would be in good hands with her and the entire cast team,” says Gottfried. Godfrey’s Spellbound Collection captures her signature style with gemstones and figurative references from cultures long past.
Skelly explains, “It was exciting to work with Lauren on this collection. Given my roots in graphic design, I’ve always been so drawn to Lauren’s bold graphic style. Her talent for design combined with her use of bold gemstones, color and geometry patterns drew me in and I knew immediately that I wanted to work with her. It was an honor to work with her to bring to life this special collection, steeped in the rich symbolism so characteristic of her style.”
The Spellbound collection celebrates the power of turquoise, known for its captivating and calming effects. The true beauty lies in the combination of rawness and sophistication. The natural matrix marbling of this powerful stone stacks richly 14K Reclaimed gold and a radiant pattern of Canadian pavé diamonds strike a striking balance. To maintain the calming shades of blue, blue zircon brings an extra sparkle and the bold hex shapes add a graphic texture to the design that is representative of Godfrey’s own collection.
Cast’s Spellbound Collection ranges in price from $1,100 to $5,500 and is currently available for purchase on www.castjewelry.com.
