The Dubai Food Festival showcases the best of Dubai’s gastronomy and culinary innovations – Low Calorie Diets Tips

Dubai, United Arab Emirates: The curtain has fallen on the ninth edition of the Dubai Food Festival, which took place from 2nd to 15th May 2022. The incredible 14-day event welcomed culinary enthusiasts from across the city to DFF-related events, with highlights such as Dubai Restaurant Week (DRW), foodie experiences, as well as city-wide events such as the Ripe Market calendar of workshops and cooking classes, the celebrations of the first anniversary of Time Out Market Dubai, the opening of the Salon du Chocolat at Dubai Mall dedicated to chocolate lovers and the seamless fusion of food at Chase the Flavours, live music and dance shows at South Market in DIFC.

This year, hundreds of restaurants took part in the city-wide festival, which celebrates Dubai’s burgeoning food scene and provided a platform for visitors and residents alike to experience the city’s diversity of gastronomic excellence and world-class restaurants.

From 6th to 15th May 2022, Dubai Restaurant Week showcased Dubai’s global reputation as a true foodie destination, offering specially curated 3-course dinners or 2-course lunches at incredible prices across the city at 40 of Dubai’s finest restaurants, including Gordon Ramsay Hell’s Kitchen, 21 Grams, Sucre, Roka, The Maine Street Eatery and Reif Japanese Kushiyaki.

Speaking about the impact of Dubai Restaurant Week, Ahmed Al Khaja, CEO of Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), said “Dubai Restaurant Week 2022 was a huge success as it helped drive traffic to Dubai’s F&B industry. The annual event aims to showcase the best of Dubai’s F&B scene at an affordable price while showcasing Dubai’s culinary talent and showcasing the city’s gastronomic prowess. We look forward to bringing more successful editions to guests in the city.”

Over 9,000 guests attended Dubai Restaurant Week alone, which supported the city’s F&B industry throughout the 10-day event.

Foodie Experiences is back for another year with a curated list of 20 unique culinary adventures across Dubai, including chefs’ tables, masterclasses with culinary heroes and special events at the city’s finest restaurants.

The Dubai Food Festival 2022 also brought families and friends together through food during the special time of Eid Al Fitr, with 19 restaurants, cafes and eateries across the city offering authentic breakfast experiences and catering to diverse nationalities and communities as part of the DFF’s Eid Big Cultures across the city are offering breakfast promotions.

An important aspect of Dubai as a global culinary destination is the variety of hidden gems scattered throughout the city. To celebrate these independent restaurants during DFF 2022, aspiring content creators were encouraged to enter the My Hidden Gems social competition by submitting a “Foodie Trail” on Instagram to become an advocate of their favorite Hidden Gem restaurants . With a cash prize of AED50,000 for the best content creator, the competition awarded a total of AED100,000 in prize money.

DFF also celebrated 8 restaurants shortlisted in the MENA 50 Best Collection with a special offer of experiences in a selection of the famous restaurants from 2nd to 15th May. Highlights included curated Dubai Restaurant Week menus at restaurants including LOWE, BB Social Dining and Indochine, as well as an exclusive Chef Table experience at Reif Japanese Kushiyaki and a delicious vegan menu at Il Borro Tuscan Bistro.

Dubai’s native restaurants, cafes and dining concepts were also highlights as guests in the city could enjoy exclusive menus, price offers, specialty dishes and master classes from a range of the city’s most popular concepts including: Akiba Doris exclusive DFF menus and pizza customization classes for kids ; Project Chaiwala serves mendazi, a delicious African pastry usually enjoyed with a cup of chai; a unique breakfast experience at Raw Coffee Company; 20 percent discount at Tresind; and an exclusive dining menu and special mango dessert at Orfali Bros.

To celebrate the annual festival, malls and attractions across the city offered exclusive dining, deals and fun for all the family, including share rewards programs at Mall of the Emirates, City Center Mirdif and City Center Deira, as well as promotions on Eat and Win and live entertainment at The Beach, Bluewaters Island, La Mer and City Walk.

After a hugely successful DFF 2022, the festival is drawing to a close, leaving food lovers in the city with unforgettable experiences for another year – of trying out “one of a kind” culinary opportunities including unique dishes, unique ingredients, masterclasses and chef’s tables in partnership with the the city’s best restaurants, cementing Dubai’s position as one of the world’s leading gastronomic destinations.
