15 of the best food accounts to follow on TikTok – Low Calorie Diets Tips

In the world of food and cooking, the next big thing has little to do with sous vide and isn’t found in a cookbook; in fact it is already well under way. We are talking about the pairing of food and TikTok: FoodTok for short.

It’s the platform at the heart of the latest viral recipes like Emily Mariko’s easy salmon rice and a certain baked feta pasta monstrosity. For better or for worse, it rules our meals and our taste buds, one pasta chip at a time.

We’ll be the first to admit that declaring a love of food is tantamount to saying you love to breathe: Duh. From our point of view, the real difference, at least on TikTok, is that there are those of us who enjoy preparing food and other of us who prefer to watch the preparation. I personally belong to the latter camp.

So the next time you’re looking for an easy lunch recipe or side dish for your next dinner party, take this list and pick a roll. These are the 15 TikTok Food Accounts we turn to at mealtime or whenever we take our revenge for putting off bedtime. Enjoy!

1. Thomas Straker

I have three words for you: All Things Butter. You know the guy and by heaven you’ll recognize this shiny quenelle. While many of us haven’t actually bothered to recreate one of his butter mashups, this is one of those rare moments when the joy really is in watching the process.

2. Owen Han

@owen.han Butterchicken 🌯 #butterchicken #burrito ♬ Original sound – OWEN HAN

Owen Han’s TikTok harks back to simpler times on the internet when our favorite cooking channel was How To Basic on YouTube. I say that because the short clips of him slicing, cleaving, and pounding down his crusty sandwiches come with heavy bites of sound. It’s aggressive ASMR and that’s what I’m here for.

3. Lucky Dragon Supper Club

@luckydragonsupperclub Stirfry Bok Choy Rice (Cai Fan) 🥬 #homecooking #asianfood 4u2nv The full recipe is in @Colournary Magazine ♬ Lamp – Lukrembo

Some local girls cook Asian food in a variety of cuisines for your viewing pleasure. Also, if you get to the point where your cravings take over, Lucky Dragon Supper Club will open in real life soon. Bai.

4. Emily Mariko

@emilymariko♬ Original sound – Emily Mariko

A 30-year-old Californian girl who needs no introduction. She was the reason half the digitally active world was mashing day-old salmon with rice, kewpie and sriracha into an orange slush. Wherever you’re bang on trend or eating farmed salmon, there’s something satisfying about watching Mariko prepare the right portions of food in her clutter-free kitchen. We live for her farmers market swag (and her vegetable storage tips).

5. Cucina with beets

Look, I don’t speak Italian (at least that’s what the northerners say), but as far as I know, chef Ruben asks those who stroll under his balcony what he should cook and conjures it up. It’s a simple premise, but hey, it’s entertaining. That and the recipes are easy to conjure up at home.

6.Matty Matheson

Granted, Matty doesn’t cook much these days, at least not on TikTok. But we’re still following him in hopes that he might one day come out with some heart-pounding burgers. In the meantime, follow the Canadian chef for clips of him twerking with Addison Rae of all people.

7. Nana Joe

When you eat a lean salad, Nana Joe will always deliver a punch of food envy. There’s cheese and lots of it, there’s spices and she almost always serves Mexican dishes. Lord take me and make me Nana Joe’s husband, he’s lucky.

8. The Salad Lab

For those who love a salad, not in a no-carb 90’s crash diet kind of way, but in a crunchy veg flavored and easy lunch kind of way. Sure, salads have been mistreated due to their past marketing, but I’m personally a huge fan and so is TikTok’s famous Salad Lab Lady. There’s a recipe for every kind, including Hollywood A-lister favorites. From the salad Jennifer Aniston ate on set friends Following Elle Fanning’s favorite cob style, she’s here to make them all, one TikTok at a time. Enjoy.

9. Hwoo Lee

@hwoo.lee #ad Nothing like killing time while my purchases are delivered via @instacart ♬ Original sound – h woo

We all have a crush on Hwoo Lee. Yes, he’s a truly trained chef, but he also has a four-step beauty routine and editing skills to be envied. Then there’s the fact that we love an aloof boy. Lee covers a lot, specializing in Korean dishes and even dabbles in some cocktails in the meantime.

10. Lahbco

@lahbco Cookies for your Adele Listening Party 😮‍💨🥲 #cookies #pumpkin #chocolatechipcookies #miso #foodtiktok ♬ Fall Sounds – Lofee

This is for all the plant girlies who can feel a little lonely in TikTok’s messy foodverse. Nasim is the certified treasure that brings you all the classics with a twist. Oh, and he’s also an astrology fanatic, so don’t get past his zodiac series. You will feel seen.

11. The golden scales

@thegoldenbalance Eid Special: Chicken Shawarma With Homemade Toum 😈 #thegoldenbalance #easyrecipes ♬ Hip Hop with Impressive Piano Sound (793766) – Dusty Sky

Let Syrian creator Ahmad Alzahabi lull you to sleep or put you on a food frenzy with his version of American and Arabic favourites; from towering burgers to toum-stuffed shawarma. Where some chefs leave out important details, Alzahabi gently guides you through his own recipes and explains why he does things a certain way.

12. Mor Ibayán

@moribyan Steak Sandwich Time! #asmr style video IB: @Hank ♬ Sunday Kind of Love – Etta James

Hajar Labah would win the award for the most immaculate kitchen if there was such a thing. Like their creatively arranged shots, their benches and gear are immaculate, which puts the fussy side of me at ease. Plus, her recipes are full of ingredients and always flavorful. What’s not to like?

13. Sophia Roe

@sophia_roe if you don’t eat your pasta green then what do you even do? #pasta #fyp #cozy #nyc ♬ Dignita – Stelvio Cipriani

You know what we think of Sophia Roe, not to mention her cooking videos. All those angles, the swathes of natural light, somehow she manages to turn each tutorial into a cinematic masterpiece. Merging art with a stomach ailment is true nourishment for the soul.

14. Tiffy Cooks

@tiffycooks If you need more reasons to eat dumplings, this is it! #dumplings #asmr #storytime #lunarnewyear ♬ Original sound – TIFFY COOKS 🥟

15. Rooted in spice

@rootedinspice #aubergine #bainganbharta ♬ fukashigi no carte lofi (bunny girl senpai) – until chills

Since you didn’t ask, I’ll tell you. My current favorite food blogger on TikTok is Chaheti Bansal. Aside from giving us a way to use our watermelon rinds and giving eggplants the focus they deserve, Bansal shares South Asian recipes, cultural anecdotes, and why we should stop using the word “curry.”

Stay inspired, follow us.
