Move over Neko Atsume, Cats & Soup is here to steal the cat themed idle game spotlight. Slow down in this adorable mobile game Gather a small army of cats to cook soup outside in the forest. Who are the cats selling all this soup to? Turns out that doesn’t matter nearly as much as the game’s true purpose Collect kittens and passively collect billions of coins.
Cats & Soup does a great job of making his progression pretty easy. However, if you are just starting out, you will have many questions. If you’re not sure where to start, there are a few things to keep in mind when playing this game.
10 Increase your stations frequently
We’re not huge fans of the phrase “You have to spend money to make money,” but it has a pretty literal meaning when it comes to Cats & Soup. If you wait forever and procrastinate spending your gold coins on upgrades or new recipes, You will end up wasting a lot more time.
Upgrading your stations and recipes increases the selling price of your dishes, which speeds up coin saving. When in doubt, the game provides a button in the lower left corner that displays a recommended station to upgrade.
9 Don’t forget your rest stations
Do you know how hard it is to easily chop a carrot in half? Even a kitten needs to relax sometimes. While it might be tempting to pour all of your resources into upgrading your cooking stations and soup pot, but Don’t neglect to improve your rest stops.
When cats use the resting stations, they generate energy, a type of currency spent on upgrades and buying new recipes. Energy is much harder to gather than gold, so upgrade your rest stops often.
8th Save for more cats
Find a good balance between upgrading your current stations and saving up for new cooking opportunities. Crafting a new facility like chopping carrots or blending juice will Unlock a brand new feline friend for your forest.
Newer cooking stations also unlock recipes for higher-selling dishes like cabbage soup or even juice. The sooner you acquire new recipes and the cats for them, the more coins you will earn.
7 Unlock the bulletin board
The Bulletin Board is another facility worth investing in early in the game. Once unlocked, the game will automatically start giving you something Complete “Special Missions”.. These are essentially just mini-goals like “Sell 3 Carrot Soup”. Once the goal is reached, you’ll get a small extra coin for your effort.
The great thing about special orders, however, is that once unlocked, you don’t have to do any extra work! You get bonus coins if the cats fulfill the mission parameters.
6 Change the background music
Cats & Soup has exceptionally well-crafted music that you can listen to while watching your cats chop, mince, and stir. As with any idle game This music is in an endless loopand it may repeat itself after a while.
As you progress through the game you will start unlocking some additional tracks and you can redeem these tracks via the Background Music selection in the menu in the lower right corner or via email Tap on the radio icon in your Shade Tree station. Also, songs can be purchased with furniture coins.
5 Redeem daily bonus gifts
However, there are quite a few buttons and menus to contend with in Cats & Soup Don’t forget your first daily gifts! This is a daily sign-up bonus that you can redeem once a day every week. You will automatically receive a free bonus item. You can find the 7 Days of Gift calendar icon in the top right corner.
If you see something you really want, you can also unlock the additional daily bonus items by spending real money. However, participating in these in-app purchases doesn’t have a huge impact on the gameplay itself, while 7 Days of Gifts events happen frequently. You will not get an opportunity to receive the same items again.
4 Check off your achievements
While you can buy more gems in the shop to buy things like cosmetics and special facilities, you will also slowly start earning gems just by making progress. Check in regularly Your Quests menu in the top right to redeem bonus gifts.
Ticking off the daily missions will reward you with a variety of bonuses, including gold or even promotional tickets. On the other hand, completing achievements will always reward Gems. If you want to save up some gems, Scroll through the list of achievements and see what you can tick off.
3 Unlock the fish pond
One of the more important facilities to save for is the fish pond. That is unlocked once you craft your corn husk cooking station. In this pond you can catch fish that can be fed to any of your cats.
Every time you feed a cat, it wins a heart. With each heart your cat gets an additional buff, making fishing a crucial mechanic for Cats & Soup. However, you only have a limited number of bait pieces that you can use before you have to wait for them to recharge. So be patient.
2 Dress up your cats
What would a cat game be if you couldn’t dress up your kittens? The best part is that there is more to giving your cats outfits than just cosmetics. Different clothes have passive bonus effects that can affect your cat’s cooking performance and other stats.
So while you might think your Siamese would look cutest with a little straw hat, you might want to reconsider giving it to your carrot-chopping kitty instead to maximize the hat’s impact.
1 Watch The Frog Prince’s Courtship
Nobody likes to watch ads. Luckily, the ads in Cats & Soup aren’t overly intrusive, but at the end of the day it’s still a mobile idle game. There are a few gameplay mechanics that reward you for watching ads, like the Jar Fairy, but the Frog Prince is perhaps the most enticing of them all.
The Frog Prince only appears when it rains in-game and brings a gift of energy counters. It is entirely up to you whether you sell your soul to the capitalist machine, but in this case you will help you save energy faster for new recipes and upgrades
