World Environment Day 2022 – 14 organizations committed to protecting the planet – Low Calorie Diets Tips

“Sooner or later we will have to recognize that the earth also has the right to live without pollution. What humanity needs to know is that humans cannot live without Mother Earth, but the planet can live without humans.” – Evo Morales

With all that needs to be done to reverse the impact of human activity on the planet, dedicating a day to the environment is certainly not enough. Environmental protection must become a habit. But having a day to reflect on our actions, decide on steps that need to be taken, and move forward accordingly is necessary.

World Environment Day was established by the United Nations to raise awareness of the importance of protecting the environment. During the Stockholm Conference on the Human Environment, discussions on the impact of human interactions on the environment were launched and sustainable development was placed on the global agenda.

Consequently, a year later, in 1973, the first WED with the theme “Only One Earth” was celebrated. That was also the motto of the conference. To mark WED’s golden anniversary this year, the day will be celebrated with Sweden as the host city under the same motto.
