Disney World Reveals Holiday Plans Including Return of Christmas Celebration! – Low Calorie Diets Tips

We may be mid-June, but today Disney is celebrating the HOLIDAYS! That’s right, stroll with us as Disney breaks the news about Walt Disney World Resort for the 2022 holiday season.

Yes, you read it right! It looks like Disney is dropping last year’s Very Merriest After Hours and bringing back the beloved Christmas party favorite. Disney has announced that Magic Kingdom Park will welcome the return of Mickey’s very happy Christmas party! The special event with ticket will take place on 24 selected evenings from November 8 to December 22, 2022. This after-hours event includes:

  • Join Mickey and friends on the Cinderella Castle stage for the ultimate must-see Christmas extravaganza – Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration. The show features nostalgic and modern medleys of Christmas music paired with dance performances.
  • Minnie Mouse orchestrates a scintillating spectacle across Magic Kingdom as part of Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks. Full of holiday magic, the show includes dazzling castle projections, fireworks and seasonal songs.
  • With his famous flying reindeer at the helm, Santa Claus accompanies Mickey Mouse and his friends on their way through the park in the must-see “Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade”.
  • Speaking of Santa, he’s not the only one who likes cookies around the holidays. Party-goers can indulge in complimentary cookies and hot cocoa at various locations throughout the Magic Kingdom.
  • Magic Kingdom attractions get a special dose of Christmas cheer. The holiday magic transforms the Jungle Cruise back into the Jingle Cruise. And as an exclusive treat for event attendees, Space Mountain, Tomorrowland Speedway, Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor and Mad Tea Party are all getting a special holiday makeover.
  • Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe becomes the coolest spot when residents of the North Pole drop by for an intergalactic dance party!
  • Also at the Magic Kingdom, dance the night away alongside favorite Disney characters during an other-worldly Christmas show, “A Totally Tomorrowland Christmas” on the Rockettower Plaza Stage.
  • The fun continues for young partygoers and Disney Junior fans of all ages at Storybook Circus during the Disney Junior Jingle Jam, when Disney Junior characters take part in a fun dance celebration.
  • NEW! In honor of the 50thth Anniversary Celebration, Attendees at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party will discover three fun new photo opportunities. Guests will also receive a special 50th anniversary keepsake that aligns with the holiday season.

Ready to snag your tickets? Tickets for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party are limited and available to purchase online from July 7, 2022. Guests at select Walt Disney World Resort hotels can begin purchasing tickets as early as June 30, 2022. Ticket prices range from $149 to $199 per person. Event dates are:

  • November: 8th, 10th, 11th, 14th, 15th, 17th, 18th, 20th, 22nd, 27th, 29th
  • December: 1st, 2nd, 4th, 6th, 8th, 9th, 11th, 13th, 15th, 16th, 18th, 20th, 22nd December

But wait… there is MORE! The holidays are not limited to Magic Kingdom. Beginning November 11, 2022, the Walt Disney World Resort will begin a holiday makeover on its massive property.

As a special Christmas surprise for guests, Disney has unveiled each of the four park icons, including Cinderella Castle (Magic Kingdom), Spaceship Earth (EPCOT), Tower of Terror (Disney’s Hollywood Studios) and Tree of Life (Disney’s Animal Kingdom). ) will celebrate the season with a series of unique, heartwarming Christmas exhibitions. Guests will also continue to attend the 50th Anniversary Beacons of Magic.

Jolly Old St. Nick will be making special appearances throughout Walt Disney World. Disney announced:

“Watch him cruise down Hollywood Boulevard in his candy red convertible during the Santa Claus Merry Motorcade at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and cruise the Discovery River as part of a festive flotilla at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park. Santa will continue to spread the joy of the holiday season with visits to Magic Kingdom Park and Disney Springs, where guests will have individual time to take photos and share their Christmas wishes. Finally, at EPCOT, Santa will join storytellers from around the world as part of the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays, presented by AdventHealth beginning November 25.”

  • In Disney Springs, Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar becomes Jock Lindsey’s Holiday Bar, offering festive food and craft cocktails alongside seasonal accents.

Intricately designed Christmas trees inspired by popular characters will be placed in Disney Springs, and Christmas trees will delight guests at resorts throughout Walt Disney World.
